We are very pleased that once again Wreake Valley Sixth Form students have achieved improved A Level grades on last year. This year there are more than twice the number of students gaining AAB grades in facilitating subjects, with a record number of A* grades. We anticipate that a high number of students will go on to study at their first choice of university.
The Principal, Tony Pinnock, said, ‘I am delighted for our students, as a Sixth Form we have focused on supporting students to achieve their best, and these results are just reward for students and staff’.
The Sixth Form is very pleased with the results in a number of subjects, but of particular note are Maths, Further Maths, History, Physics, Economics, Psychology, IT, PE, Product Design, and Performing Arts. The Maths results were especially outstanding, with 50% of students gaining an A or A* grade.
Special mention should be made to Will Matthews and Megan Randriamahavorisoa who each gained A*, A, A and will be going on to study medicine. Will is going to Nottingham University and Megan to University of East Anglia.
Robert Hopewell gained A*in Chemistry and Maths, and grade A in Economics and Further Maths and is going to York University to study for a Masters in Chemistry.
