2017 GCSE Results

Congratulations to all of our students on their fantastic results.

This year we are particularly pleased with the number of students achieving the new top grade of 9 in English and Maths.

Special mention should be made of the following students who achieved the highest grades:

Tanishkaa Deshmukh, Bhuvi Joshi, Jacob Kendrick, Mia Larke, Abbey Marshall, Felix Miskin-Young, Charlotte Pooley, Eloise Stretton, Holly Sturgess-Bowes and Sophie Walker

2017 A Level Results

We are very pleased that once again Wreake Valley Sixth Form students have achieved improved A Level grades on last year. This year there are more than twice the number of students gaining AAB grades in facilitating subjects, with a record number of A* grades. We anticipate that a high number of students will go on to study at their first choice of university.

 

The Principal, Tony Pinnock, said, ‘I am delighted for our students. As a Sixth Form we have focused on supporting students to achieve their best, and these results are just reward for students and staff’

The Sixth Form is very pleased with the results in a number of subjects, but of particular note are Maths, Further Maths, History, Physics, Economics, Psychology, IT, PE, Product Design, and Performing Arts. The Maths results were especially outstanding, with 50% of students gaining an A or A* grade.

Special mention should be made to Will Matthews and Megan Randriamahavorisoa who each gained A*, A, A and will be going on to study medicine. Will is going to University of Nottingham and Megan to University of East Anglia.

Robert Hopewell gained A*in Chemistry and Maths, and grade A in Economics and Further Maths and is going to University of York to study for a Masters in Chemistry.

Rikesh Lad gained an A* in Maths, and an A in Biology and Chemistry and is hoping to pursue a dentistry course, and Nilay Patel gained A* in Maths and Further Maths and an A in Physics and will be studying Maths at University of Leeds.

Josh Walker has secured his place at University of St Andrews to study Physics by gaining an A* in Maths and an A in Further Maths and Physics. Charlie Campbell gained an A*, A, A, B and will be starting a Degree Level Apprenticeship with JCB.

We wish all our students every success in their chosen courses, apprenticeships and employment.
