Choosing Subjects to Study at Sixth Form
You must consider very carefully the subjects you will study at A Level. You need to think about what you enjoy, what you are good at and if the combination works.
You will study 3 A Levels/BTECs/. However, if you have an excellent GCSE profile and wish to study 4 A Levels, this can be discussed at the interview stage.
Questions you might like to ask yourself:
- Am I going to enjoy the subjects and succeed in them at A Level or BTEC/?
- Will choosing this particular course and combination of subjects allow me to progress on to my chosen career or higher education pathway? (it is a good idea to research what subjects universities, professionals and apprenticeships may be asking for)
If you are unsure of what you would like to do after Sixth Form then it is advisable to keep your options open. This can be discussed further at the interview stage.
